Louisiana Basic Grazing Mix


The Basic Grazing Mix – This NWSG grazing mix is designed to help with the summer forage slump. This mix meets and exceeds NRCS specifications for EQIP, CSP, and most other conservation programs. This mix is a native warm season grass based mix comprised of packed full of Big Bluestem, Little Bluestem, and Indiangrass and very small amounts of wildflowers, which is great for both your livestock and your local wildlife. 9.180 PLS lbs/acre. Mix Summary: Grass (3 species, 38.02 seeds/ft2, 97.4%PLS), Wildflowers (6 species, 1.01 seeds/ft2; 2.6%PLS). Wildflowers include 5 legumes (0.76 seeds/ft2) with a total base seeding rate of 9.18 PLS#s/ac (9 species, 39.028 seeds/ft2). This mix will now be pre bulked with rice hulls to a bulk seeding rate of 10lbs/acre. All species will be combined.
